How do you feel about rings? Do you wear them often? They are one of my favorite types of accessories. I especially like stacking rings one on top of the other, even if they do not have a unified theme. I find this adds personality and glamour to any outfit. Try it out! Pandora is great inspiration for this trend if you’ve never tried it. Have fun!

One trend that I am absolutely hooked on is the Oxblood trend. Don’t get me wrong, ox blood does not refer to oxen but it actually means oxygenated blood. That deep dark red that blood turns into when exposed to air is the colour that should be dominating your closet this season. I love trends that anybody can easily incorporate into their individual styles and ox blood does precisely that! What are your thoughts on this trend? Yay or nay? Let me know!

I recently became slightly obsessed with J Crew, and the only downside I see is their higher-than-average pricing.
What do I love so much about the store? Their collections are the perfect mix of essential and trendy. They take basic pieces that are a part of every woman’s wardrobe, and add special (sometimes subtle, often outrageous) touches to make them perfect and unique. Most recently, J Crew has mastered the art of color blocking, and resulting pieces are timelessly stylish and extremely wearable.
Sigh. I almost forgot about the high Canadian price tags. But not to worry, there are always promotions, and you savvy shoppers know how to watch for those. I’ve also noticed that online prices on some items are much lower than in stores. So happy shopping!

I realize this quote is excessively used these days but I still love it. It’s right in front of me whenever I wake up and really motivates me to appreciate what I have and reminds me why I love my life. I definitely believe in miracles, what about you?

“Beauty is 50% beautiful skin.” François Nars, founder of Nars Cosmetics and fashion photographer, claims that healthy, glowing skin is crucial in achieving that much-desired ‘photo finish’, even with the best hair and makeup.
I agreed with that idea, and decided to try out NarsSkin, the brand’s new line of skincare. What’s most unique about the products is that they take a lot from their founder’s background in photography, using a “Light Reflecting Complex” to enhance the skin’s natural glow.
I’ve been using the Brightening Concentrate and Luminous Moisturizer together after cleansing and I must admit I am quite impressed with the results! My face becomes almost instantly brighter, and I get a much smoother and consistent surface on which to apply makeup.
That experience led me to purchasing other cosmetics, such as the famous “Multiple” which can be used on eyes, lips and cheeks (did you know this was Nars’ first ever product?). I am really enjoying all of them, and that kind of satisfaction is worth the high price tag.
What about you? Any good or bad thoughts about Nars or any other brand? Let me know!

Terrible storms and the upcoming Canadian winter aren’t the only things that have me anticipating Spring of 2013! I’m usually very picky when it comes to patterns and prints but I can definitely see myself filling my closet with the upcoming Cage Match trend! What are your thoughts on this gorgeous Calvin Klein?

Every friendship has its phases. The clingy phase, the “I can’t stand you” phase, the “I can’t live without you” phase and many more. This is the medium in which two best friends express the “phases” of our evolving likes and dislikes, whether they be about fashion, current issues, or silly little things that make us laugh. Love us or hate us (we recommend you adore us), we’ll just keep on blogging. ;)
